PRODUCTION
Weave:
We weave in three designs, Twill, Diamond and Herringbone. The twill
design is considered the standard weave for silk/ cashmere. The
Herringbone and Diamond designs use an unusual two-faced weaving
technique which causes the cashmere (soft) to be more prominent
on one side, and the silk (lustrous) on the other side.
Ply:
We use both 1 and 2 ply cashmere yarns. A 2 ply yarn is one in which
two cashmere strands have been loosely twisted together. A two-ply
item is, therefore, warmer and thicker.
Size:
We are open to customized products and sizes. Some of our
standard sizes are :
Scarf (small) 12 x 60"
scarf (large) 18 x 78"
Stole 27 x 80"
Shawl 36 x 80"
Throw 52 x 80" (twill & herring bone only)
blanket 60 x 90" (twill only)
blanket (large) 90 x 120" (twill only)
Please note that all our items have the standard 3" long
twisted and knotted fringe unless you specify otherwise.
